Can Anyone Tell me about PS2 Online?

Bought a PS2 a while ago and I plan to stick with single player games, but I'd like to know about the online aspect too.

Can anyone tell me about it for the PS2?
Fees and what not?

Right now, the only two games that charge fees are Everquest: Online Adventures and Final Fantasy XI. There alot of kick ass free games online like Madden, Twisted Metal: online, Champions of Norrath (I highly recommend this game if you like Diablo-style games), Tony Hawk 3, 4 and Underground, I think Need For Speed Underground has online and I know SSX 3 does as well.

Well its not as good as X Box live..but there are some games out there that rock online. Champs of Norrath is deadly and Resident Evel Outbreak is different. I will say this, the lack of a buddy list and other hi end features kinda sucks. Also, I sold Sega ESPN B-Ball because the online was so poor. I played several time and never made it through the second quarter. It would disconnect every time. Everyone else I talked to had the same problem. So the servers aren't as good...but overall, it's worth the price of the adapter, for sure.
